About Ruth Grindrod

I am a landscape photographer based in Norfolk, East Anglia, with a focus on coastal photography that allows me to explore and celebrate the beauty of the ever-changing environment. My journey in photography began many years ago, initially capturing images on film and processing monochrome works. Today, I utilise digital technology, employing Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop CC to refine my captures.

Throughout my career, I have had the honour of winning prestigious accolades, including featuring in Landscape Photographer of the Year twice and the overall winner of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards 2019, among numerous other awards. My website features a curated portfolio showcasing diverse works and insightful blogs that discuss specific locations that have inspired my photographic journey. The solace I find in remote regions nourishes my creativity and deepens my connection to the landscape.

In an age where photography is ubiquitous—driven by mobile technology and AI advancements—some may argue that the art form is evolving at the expense of authenticity. However, I believe true photography is about engagement with the landscape: sensing its essence and conveying it through captured images. Each gallery I present is unique, reflecting the individuality of my experiences.
