About Ruth Grindrod
I am a landscape photographer currently living in Norfolk, East Anglia. My work takes me to a variety of locations and my real passion is for coastal photography. I started taking photographs many years ago but work intruded upon this. In those days I shot film and processed mono images. I now shoot digitally and process using ACR and Photoshop CC.
I have been a winner in Landscape Photographer of the Year and overall winner of the Scottish Nature Photography awards 2019, plus have received many other awards which you can see on my Awards page on this website. I am a Sunwayfoto ambassador.
My site shows portfolios of work and the blogs highlight certain locations I have visited and have a paasion for.
I want to use my camera as a means of exploration but also as a tool to record fine images which detail and reflect the ever-changing landscape. I find the solitude of being in some remote regions both calming and inspiring. Today, photography has never been so popular. Millions of photos are captured every day, particularly on mobile phones and AI is now trying to replicate the art of photography. Some think this art may be dying because of this technology . I hope my photographs show that photography is about engaging with the landscape, feeling it and reflecting this in the image that is captured.
My style is diverse and you will not find any gallery the same as the next. Producing a good print is the ultimate aim for any photographer. I aim to do this regularly. My prints are for sale and all enquiries are welcome. Prints can be almost any size and on a variety of papers. Please feel free to contact. Please note I am no longer on twitter but can be contacted by email
